Can you post up a picture of your Rokstok with this pad?Just another option. I just received a pad from Backstop. It is about 1/2" thicker than the Limbsaver that comes on the Rokstok. It is about perfect length now for me. I don't know if @Unknown Munitions ever considered just offering a couple different pad options for sale?

Nice any particular one preferred over the others ie carbon over wood or visa versa?

Oh awesome I hadn't noticed them on there before I'll email Tom he's great to deal with. Thanks
Oh. I could have misread here. I was talking Rokstok. I see Grizzle was talking recoil pad. My mistake. Are you guys talking about the rokstok or the backstop recoil pad?
Both are excellent. I prefer the slightly more dead sound that the wood offers and the overall feel. For a pure hunting gun I’d probably go carbon. Although, I’ll be hunting with the wood stock a ton this year as well.Nice any particular one preferred over the others ie carbon over wood or visa versa?
Are you still using low rings or did you switch to mediums with the longer lop?

Both mediums and lows will work great for this LOP for most shooters. The guns pictured all have lows. I have two others that have mediums. Are you still using low rings or did you switch to mediums with the longer lop?
I've called Backfire several times in the past two months, left VMs twice, and emailed. No replies.Backfire just tested a Howa 1500 Superlite. The used it to design a Backstop recoil pad that fits the Stocky's Stock that comes with the rifle. I had a hunch and called Stockys to verify. The limbsaver 5/8" recoil pad is exactly the same as it is on the Rokstok. If anyone wants a really high tech recoil pad, albeit a $90 very expensive recoil pad, call Backfire for their Backstop pad that is custom made for the cartridge and weight of the rifle. It is a 29mm pad so it will yield a longer LOP.
Im not sure how to get ahold of them, but what questions do you have. I have one on one of my RokstoksI've called Backfire several times in the past two months, left VMs twice, and emailed. No replies.
How the heck do you get in contact with them?

I was the first to try this on a RokStok. I emailed them and shipped them the buttpad. They confirmed it was the same as other Stockys and shipped me one to test. It fits. Stockys likely uses the same model for all. It adds 1/2” to RokStok LOP.
I also asked Backfire if they would print pads with additional LOP and they politely declined. If there was a lot of interest they might be convinced to print different LOPs or spacers themselves.
Email is the best way to reach them. If they don’t respond it’s probably because they’re out filming content…
