I hope all these changes people want to make moves them to the bottom of the list. Be decisive.
I’m very decisive. At times. Like when I ordered ASAP when they were made available for pre-order. My problem is I’m decisive a lot, and not always on a consistent basis. 😎

What’s up with that “new” allterra stock they just posted about yesterday that’s similar to this one now? Seems like strange timing lol. I expect we’ll start seeing more and more now that you guys broke the barrier.

Edited because the original quote was probably unfair to the folks at Allterra. The timing is very coincidental, but as others pointed out it’s unlikely that they knocked out the design, mold, and PR products in the time since the Rokstok was released.

Form freely admits that none of these design characteristics are ground breaking or revolutionary, so it’s cool to see another company integrating those same design characteristics in a similar way. Interested to see if Allterra releases backcountry cinder block at SHOT Show.

Considering all the long standing stock manufacturers out there like McMillian, Manners, Grayboe, AG Composites, Alterra, Mesa Precision, et al, don’t these guys have professional engineers working for them? How did they not figure this out long ago? They’ve been around for years, yet where have they been? They just keep cranking out stocks with antiquated designs. All these years and it takes some dudes from an internet site with a bucket of bondo to make a gun stock that actually works as it should? I wonder if the big guys are embarrassed? Or in denial? Or disagreement? How did the “pros” drop the ball so badly?

I’m not sure imitation is the right word. Allterra already has a mold for their design. Seems like maybe they are just a bit ahead of the game, IDK?

It will be interesting to see which stock better. Seriously doubt Allterra can do theirs for $545 msrp but dang if we aren’t currently living in the “good old days”.

If the CTR is a bad choice for the rokstock I can get rid of it and order a different lighter weight tikka. When I ran the numbers in what it would cost me it was pretty close.

If I’m selling everything extra on the CTR (stock, mag, rail) would I be still significantly heavier on the barrel?

I guess if I did go with a t3x lite I’d cut it to 18”

Thanks!

I'm throwing a 20 inch CTR in a Rokstock. I don't mind the barrel profile. Still might chop it to 16 inches at some point though...

In case anyone else is as indecisive/waffly - it's too late to make changes to your order (at least if you were hoping to change to or from MaxDeadCats).

@Ryan Avery @Stockys @Unknown Munitions cant believe everyone is beating around the bush on this. Can we get the cerakote story please.

Like how many beers were involved when the decision to bake a 3D printed stock was made? How was the news broke to the rest of the team?

🍿😂

Am I now going to have an asshole fee added to my order for asking this question?
Jake wanted to see if he could turn a rokstok 3D into a sofstok ED and he did a damn fine job if you ask me… nailed it

This is actually Rokstok 2.0 coming next year. @Formidilosus @Ryan Avery and crew knew that the market wasn’t ready for this, but they’ve subliminally planted the seed.

Custom cast, no need for a bipod, fore end angled down to reduce trigger reach, etc.
