Even for a bolt gun?The muzzle blast is horrible on most 16” barrels without a can. Before I suppressed my AR, it was a literal headache to shoot.

Even for a bolt gun?
What about 223 though, that one can't be that bad in 16' bolt can it?Yes. We have an old Persian cavalry carbine in 8mm Mauser and it’s just miserable to shoot. Great brush gun though. Getting the blast even four inches further away makes a huge difference to me.

Here’s what was in the box. A July drop no rail in sponge #5. #3 barrel inlet is perfect for a factory Tikka Lite contour (mine is an IBI mountain lite contour which is very similar). Weighs 31.2 oz which is actually lighter then the factory stock with a vertical grip, a beaver tail forend and a Limbsaver pad.Well at least my wife will know I’m not trying to sneak in a new rifle, it says right on the box “Not a Firearm”. Got to sneak away from work early now!

The first of the two Rokstoks I ordered on 5/19 arrived today. To their credit, UM emailed me to confirm specs on 8/20, but I didn’t see it and there was a delay until they called me to check. Still arrived in about 120 days so I’m content.
Didn’t get any updates or shipping info from UM after I confirmed the specs a few weeks ago. The stock just arrived without warning, which I think is the norm. I don’t have fedex alerts set up but I know that would have helped.
Stock looks great to me. Just plain OD Green sponge to keep it simple. It will be a 16.5” 243, which I should get back from the smith next week.
Overall fit and finish is very good. Only defect I see is the mating of the spacers to the stock is not flush and a small amount of epoxy is visible. That said, it won’t affect function or cause any issues and I doubt I could do any better. I’m perfectly happy with the stock.
The recessed trinity rail looks great and is so clean for all the function it offers. Not sure how much I’ll use it but nice to have options.
Hopefully my second Rokstok will arrive soon, I’m surprised they didn’t ship together but I’m sure UM has their reasons.
I'd want the adm clamp for quickly detaching if needed be in the field. Their standard depress button and slide off is a bit comber some for quick operations. It also has to slide on/off, whereas the adm just pops openn and drops. Qd clamp all day would be my choice.Does anyone know if the hatch bipod slide on pic version works on the integrated rail of the Rokstock. They advise on the website to use the ADM version for integrated rails but that’s an $85 up charge.

You can Dremel your way into a ctr inlet, but it takes a looong timeStock from the July drop got delivered yesterday. #4 sponge and @id_jon inspired srs rail added.
I think I’m still going to send it back to Stockys to inlet for ctr and try out the new mdt core bottom metal so I can use AI mags.

I like that #7... did you include any special instructions with it? It looks to have more exposed carbon than the stock picture shows. I assume this a factory barrel with a #3 channel? Sorry if you've already spelled this out somewhere else and I missed it.Got my second stock in. Looks like they confused my cerakote change and did sponge #7 on the second stock instead of #6 (orange one). But I really like the #7 grey too, I was 50/50 on which one to change.
Now back to wrapping that salmon rod.
