The muzzle blast is horrible on most 16” barrels without a can. Before I suppressed my AR, it was a literal headache to shoot.

Muzzle blast from short barreled bolt guns (unsuppressed) is something I hate. The physical punch of recoil bothers me much less than muzzle blast.

Yes. We have an old Persian cavalry carbine in 8mm Mauser and it’s just miserable to shoot. Great brush gun though. Getting the blast even four inches further away makes a huge difference to me.

What about 223 though, that one can't be that bad in 16' bolt can it?

Well at least my wife will know I’m not trying to sneak in a new rifle, it says right on the box “Not a Firearm”. Got to sneak away from work early now!

Had one come thru Fedex here in Madison for some reason on its way to Seattle. I almost wrote on the box some snarky message from a fellow Rokslider but thought against it.
