RokStok

Sounds like the May orders are about 50% complete? Wishin I was in the first half.

My UM Ace 6CM SP3 came in yesterday. Realized I'm going to have to go to town on the factory Tikka stock to get the channel widened out so I can shoot it this weekend.

Limbsaver 10809 is I think as close as it gets to matching. There's a rib on the back i dremeled off to get it flush. I think I had to drill a new hole or two as well. These are the best pics I have as it's no longer installed. Just saving for if I ever use it on my magnum

Thanks, looks good enough for "gov'mnt work". Why did you take it off, better option?

Yea you'd have to be pretty anal to want to grind more of pad to get a perfect fit imo. The bottom is slightly worse but still hardly noticeable . I underestimated the regular pad that comes with the rokstock so just use that instead. It's fine with the braked 6.5cm I have it installed with now. I have a unbraked magnum that I might use it for sometime in the future so just saving the limbsaver for now in case I install the rokstock on that

Just so I'm tracking - 10809 is the Browning limbsaver for the Rokstok correct?

Mine is going on a 65prc. Is it worth upgrading with that caliber or stick with the rokstock pad?

Mine stock is getting cerokoted now so it'll be a few more weeks.

The "heaviest hitting" rifle I've shot in a Rokstok is an 8 lb 7PRC, in my opinion, the factory pad with proper LOP set is ideal over some squishy aftermarket thing.

LOL, looks like it was made for it. You should see the sloppy ass glue job putting the factory pad back on one of mine. Didn't secure the pad in place adequately for the curing process and it slid significantly.

The bottoms not quite as "flush" but it's still very close and you'd need to be picky to care about it

I had one like this as well. Factory pad from Stockys peeled off and I had to fix it.

Posting another 2c of my results. The Rokstok made a fairly noticeable difference in shootability of my iron sight .308 Drover.

I had about 100rds down the tube of this rifle with a factory laminate stock, and at 6.5lbs with 147 and 168gr loads, it was less than pleasant (despite the copious recoil pad on the factory stock). Switching to the Rokstok changed the game. I put 40rounds through it last weekend from the Rokstok, and it’s quite comfortable with the same loads. Putting a suppressor on will be icing on the cake, but this is a totally changed rifle. I went from “meh, will probably sell this” to “this is awesome” with two screws and some nail polish.

What’s the rear sight on this bad boy? Very cool setup.

spun on a new pva .750 taperless tikka prefit today and I’ve got barrel contact on the shank with the sendero inlet. A little annoying because the whole reason I chose the sendero channel was not having to mess with it ever. I’ll say that PVA is probably mostly to blame for the shank being larger than tikka spec but more room would be welcome.
I should have read this before I tried to pair my 0.68 taperless PVA with my Rokstok. Did you end up sanding it out?

I have a .680 on the way. The shank looks smaller than .750. When will you get yours? Mine's probably 8 weeks out.

I have .750 too and it doesn't touch on wood rokstok or mountain tracker. I didn't try to put it in a carbon stock. 3b inlets.

I’ve got mine installed and it touches. I’ll measure the shank

I had contact with my .750 too. The 1.20 shank is to blame I think.

It sanded out fairly easily.

Is that shank diameter just for the taperless contours? My Tikka prefit from PVA is a brux #4 and it dropped right into the ace#3 rokstok without issue.

Got my first Rokstok! Excited to try it out! Installation was a breeze.

Seen people talking about LOP and how this stock is easy to get behind. Here's a clip of my boy. He's a few months shy of turning 9, about 4'9"or10". 65#'s. He can get behind a standard LOP rokstok. Rifle is 16" suppressed 223 tikka. Gen2 swfa 6x. Before this he has been using a 223ai in an mdt chassis for the past year and shot a whitetail with that rifle last fall. He prefers the rokstok even with its longer LOP, though I'm sure an inch shorter would be better.
