Hanging around on RokSlide is an expensive habit. I ordered a wooden RokStok lite for my RSS .223 last night. My credit card company tried to save me by flagging it as a fraudulent transaction, but I was able to overcome the initial denial and any second thoughts and resubmit the order. So, that means that sometime in the future I will have a RSS in 6.5 CM and a mini-RSS in .223, both stainless steel, with wooden RokStoks, 6x SWFA scopes, PR Precision Stainless Steel bottom metal, and suppressors to be named later.
That’s a next year problem. I don’t see those happening anytime soon. Maybe we’ll see them in next year’s s2h 0-600Don’t forget the new scopes when they come out, at least you have some time to pay down the CC

It’s backwards!
I was asked to link this post via PM, as I guess some folks are receiving LOP spacer kits for rokstoks this week and want to DIY over sending in to UM.Sorry was in a meeting when I replied earlier...
All you need is longer screws with the same thread pitch as the factory (non-spaced) butt stock plastic/pad, and then a SLIGHT modification.
On standard Rokstoks with no spacers they use the normal Stockys Phillips size 10 screws with coarse threads, these self tap into the foam/carbon which is why I mentioned before DO NOT overtighten, they strip easily.
On spacers added Rokstoks, they use a finer thread M4 Allen head bolt, with different lengths depending on how many spacers are installed.
So if you want to add spacers onto a "non-spacer" version of the Rokstok, you cannot use the M4 Allen bolts from Stockys and UM as they won't thread into the butt stock.
Instead of sending it back, just pull out one of your phillips screws and take it to the hardware store, and buy two that are long enough to get through your new spacers. There is no need to worry about diameter change as the Phillips Size 10 fits fine through the spacers access notches.
The slight modification...
The only "issue" is that on the "spacer installed" Rokstoks that first 1/4" spacer acts a "line-up tool" as there are small "nipples" on the spacers that you will either need to file down, or notch into either the factory butt pad or the stock end. Each spacer has these nipples to help keep the stack aligned and held together while screwing in. They are TINY, and I filed mine off, set the first one flat/lined it up on the butt stock and screwed the thing all together. No issues.
Difference in screw types.

Phillips screws work in the spacers, just need to be longer.

1/2" worth of spacers installed onto a regular "non-spacer" rokstok as per this method. This photo was just mocked up, when I installed it I dabbed a bit of epoxy on the first spacer to hold in place for lining up properly, and to help hold it together should a screw strip out.

Feel free to PM with any questions.
These are also “earlier” Rokstoks and I understand a couple iterations exist now (I’ve heard of things like concrete screws being used in some stocks).
Feel free to post photos and questions here.
If you click on the orange link “mxgsfmdpx said” in the post I quoted it will take you to that post with photos.
Nice to see a few folks around that are wired correctly. No it ain't .
That's the way a rifle should be.

Normal, maybe… but I don’t think it’s the right way to do it and have it be reliable (further explained below) Not the end of the world, and not terrible to fix, but falls in the corner cutting category to me.Just got my Rokstok. Is it normal for the QD cup to be just a straight hole into the stock? I can see foam just seems off.
Everything about this is RIGHT!!!View attachment 903765
22 Creed wrong-handed
At this time, the RokScope’s features don’t appear to be what I want or need. That is not to say that I think it will be bad. I just don’t think it is for me. The SWFA’s are already purchased and waiting for these rifles.
I do need to pick the right suppressor, but that is a six months from now problem. I want to use the OG for a few months before I make up my mind about it. I need to carry it a lot more, shoot with it a lot more, and then make up my mind whether it is the right fit for my 6.5 CM.
PS - I am lucky enough to report that the CC is already paid down. I just need to refill the discretionary spending budget. I need to plan my upland bird trip to Montana, then I foresee a spending freeze until Christmas.

Do yo have pics of limbsaver installed and some of the fitment variances? What are the mods you have to make? I read something about drilling new holes, I assume you drill the pad and not the stock? I put my Tikka Limbsaver on my RS last night, the fit is bad but the holes lined up fine.
I don't have one and I'm not going to be home until Sunday. I'll try to remember to take one then.Do yo have pics of limbsaver installed and some of the fitment variances?
Limbsaver 10809 is I think as close as it gets to matching. There's a rib on the back i dremeled off to get it flush. I think I had to drill a new hole or two as well. These are the best pics I have as it's no longer installed. Just saving for if I ever use it on my magnumDoes anyone know if the limbsaver is compatible on the Rokstok?
