Thanks for the feedback. That is what i was curious about if we were talking a couple ounces or a half a pound. Sounds like only a couple. After seeing some of the posts on here I tried to add the spacer system to my order while waiting all those months but wasn't able to, but it doesn't sound like it is difficult at all to retrofit them.

I’ve ordered one through wilderness precision here in Australia. It’s for a Howa long action so I assume that not many of them have been ordered. Any idea when mine might be coming?

I emailed them today, they changed my order to the trinity. He said my stock might sit a couple weeks waiting for the trinity rails to get anodized, but I figured I waited this long, so what's a couple more weeks. Just email sales@unknownmunitions.com and they will help you out.

I sent the 22-250 off to be cut and threaded and installed a $599.99 308.

Same deal as last time. Lug stays in the stock and action mates right up.

This barrel is stacking rounds on top of each other. I wish I could say that about the 22-250.

I've got a stocky's on a howa, I've got a sako 90 peak 308, cannot explain how far different the quality of two carbon stocks can be, you will never want a stocky's on a 90, the peak actually has a higher comb than tikka and it's negative as well, with quite a vertical grip, most probably wouldn't notice by looking at pics as still pretty 'sporter' in profile, bit of a sleeper, nicely done sako as it seems pretty modern in design, the sako is lighter than my identical tikka 308 chopped to 20" to match and recoil is way easier on me than that dang tikka, it's not a thing shooting a box with the sako but it's an every shot thing with the tikka just to explain the difference design and materials can make.

Having said that, that tikka may get rok one day but the sako stays as it is, nothing stocky's could make could compare to that sako carbon stock so it would be a downgrade, however...doesn't take much to upgrade the tikka stock, I actually like how it feels and with the pistol grip but from there back the sako wins with it's higher and negative comb, and the tikka material is pretty kicky also.

pretty good speeds, my lot out of my 20" sako 90 peak is 2592 fps ave, 5-shot string 1 was 23 es and 9.8 sd, a month later a 2nd string went 2593 ave with 36 es and 13.3 sd, shoots em awesome

Yes, the Sako 90 carbon stock is a great stock and a good texture improvement over the Sako 85 variant.

Yes, the Sako Peak and Ultra stocks don't have the hollow carbon sound that the Stockys VG stock has. This doesn't mean the stockys VG is less durable, in fact, in having used multiple samples of both, the Stockys are holding up a bit better long term. I believe their carbon is a bit stiffer and may have more resin overall is why.

The Rokstok is a much better field stock than both the Stockys VG and the Sako carbon stocks, both the peak and the ultra.

Once you shoot a Rokstok it feels "weird" going back to other stocks, like, "how did I used to shoot these things so well".

I bought a finished stocky's...full ticket, how embarrassing that was their finished model. It would not pass for a blemished model in anything resembling the real world. From ill fitting muffin top marshmallow recoil pads from toys'r'us, to porous finish sections all over, seems, the carbon around the recoil pad, concave, looks like it was cut off with a hacksaw, anyway...I'm guessing they are getting better but going through this thread they've had plenty of recoil pad issues and fit and finish issues so no surprise. And that's fine and dandy, eyes wide open if I get another and I might for the tikka, and no issues doing whatever bubba is required...but no bubba required on the sako, the only similarity is they are both called 'carbon' stocks, they couldn't be further apart and the price reflects so no biggie, there won't be enough 90's out there to inlet for them so it's a nonstarter and only the odd looney would think about downgrading to a lower quality stock on one. The right way is to just go kit gun tikka and for that they sound like a great upgrade, even still the quality won't be as good as the factory but the design will be better.

Getting the icks trying to imagine the regret of pulling off the sako stock and start crying as you faafo the stocky's one and try to get it on a 90 and still love it when you're done. My tikka will still be a backup loaner gun regardless what I do. Even if I build it into a rok/6cm/maven etc. the whole thing still won't get the nod to head afield with me over my 90 peak, my kids can carry it, I'm done carrying kit guns and sh1t I had to bubba which is about most things lol. If you think that stock will help you fill more tags then shoot it and find whatever you can that will fit in it, tikka's perfect, they will never inlet for a sako 90, zero demand and dang good reason for it.

but we did and always will shoot these so well, so does form and everyone else with bone stock tikka's and anything you put in their hands, good shooters are good shooters and can drive most cars and trucks, they do sound like fun project for a high volume shooter and it's high on my list for what to do with my tikka to build one for the boys to play with, won't be a thought to put one on a 90 peak, it's a shooter and an improvement over factory tikka which is one of the easiest guns to shoot well going, chasing tail a bit here
