What it the logic of this comb design, what is it supposed to do? Why aren't the manufacturers jumping on this? What about the military teams shooting bolt guns?

The rostock reminds me of another fad from a few years back. View attachment 793452
The first post of this thread links to a thread that explains the logic.

There is a simple rule in life, theory must always bow to reality. Your theory is absolutely crushed by the reality of using this stock.

This is a pic of the whole slik sling installed but I’ve since switched to the exo buttstock “bucket” and used the top attachment of the slik sling. Keeps it secure but also is quick and easy to remove the rifle when needed regardless of how full the pack is. I will snap a pic of how I use it tonight when I get home. I much prefer the butt of the stock attached to the bag rather than the hip belt.

Hope these show it well enough. If not I can take some more. If you have not seen how the slik sling works here’s a
YouTube video demonstrating how you would deploy your rifle using it and will probably do a better job than my pics at showing how the system as a whole works. Mine isn’t quite as fast since k3 buttstock “bucket” is a tighter fit around the stocks but I much prefer how the rifle carries the way I use it vs the original slik sling bucket. I can have it off and shouldered in less than 5 seconds most the time. Plus the weight of the rifle carried on the bag is much more comfortable than having the weight pulling on your waistbelt imo. I have used a gun bearer a fair bit and it worked but I didn’t love having the rifle cradled under my armpit sticking up in front of my face, just seemed to get in the way especially when hiking uphill or glassing. I have carried it this way for lots of miles hiking riding atv’s and dirtbikes and it’s been solid.

Thanks for the extra pics. I dont have the k3 part, but the k4. Never thought to use the k4 rifle bucket and the slik sling top. I had the slik sling on it before the k4 setup was available. Wasn't a fan of it how it rode. I will try your mod on the weekend.
