I started by just asking for mil-spec green with tears showing bare carbon and webbing. More tear than average to show more carbon. Basically showing as much as could look good.

Cody recommended some other fading around the tears to add some depth which I was cool with and I think turned out pretty awesome.

How did you describe the worn/broken up lines all over it, is that what you called "webbing"?

Yes thats webbing, they can just rattle can this on top of whatever your pattern is.

Got my Howa 1500 Rokstok. Cody did an awesome job imo on my snakeskin request.

Just put this together tonight for my boy, well me too. Scope is a bit far back for me but he's 9 and can get behind it well.

Its one of the new tikka threaded 16" 223's. Gen 2 swfa 6x in UM mediums. This scythe ti has 1200 rounds on it so far. It'll stay on until it blows up We'll go shoot it tomorrow.

Go for it man! I absolutely love it I'm sure every version of their snakeskin will be slightly different Cody said he really enjoyed doing it and now that he has the templates and everything I'm sure it'll be something he wants to do again They also would do rattlesnake patterns and things like that.

How is he liking it so far? I ordered a rokstok and 16” 223 today. Already have a gen 2 6x and while not UM rings I have a set of sports match. Oldest daughter turns 10 next month so the rifle should be here anyway. Might be a little longer on the stock.

I had taken one of my "chunk" 223ai's out of an a5 last year and put it in an mdt chassis for him. He shot it alot but the grip, and trigger reach sucked for him. This is much better. He has no real issues with the lop on the full sized stock. Im sure he'd be better off with a 12 or 12.5" rokstok though. He's put about 200 rounds through it so far. All prone, shooting steel and rocks from 1-200 yards. Just with old 55gr ball ammo.

Anyway, he really likes it and enjoys shooting it. Here's a screenshot of a video I took of him. I had to slide the scope back for him but there was enough room to do it. I don't know if you seen the video I posted in the rokstok thread, but there's still a little bit of recoil, he only weighs like 60 or 65#s. It is low enough that he can spot his own shots prone.

I still have a couple/few thousand 75amaxs left that I'll load up and shoot in this when I figure out what to do for a longer coal mag.

Awesome thanks Brad. That looks like a perfect setup for him! I remember the chunks. I still have one on 75amax. Yes I saw the video that helped me pull the trigger this morning on the rifle and I’ve been wanting to try the stock myself. It helps that reports say it’s a little bit short for most adults. I can see what I want to see and it should be fine for her to grow on into.

I’m with you on the magazine deal. Back when I don’t the mag mod and was only about 75% happy. So since I like the ctr stock I put mine in ctr take off parts and ordered a 223 ctr magazine. I’ll either keep messing with the magazines order the one like they just done a group buy on or maybe switch to AICS. Not exactly nailed down here either haha.
