Something worthy of the term "revolution" would be a nation-wide movement away from all the long range BS and a movement towards learning how to track and stalk game. I have zero problem with dialing on game, and it's certainly prudent to be setup for LR opportunities (if that's all that's available). However, the real joy of hunting is lost in all the sniper wannabe s-hit, and you can't know the difference if you haven't done it. The satisfaction of tracking a deer or bull to its bed and shooting it at 40 or 50 yards is an incredible thrill. Same with getting close on antelope. When you take an animal's senses out of the equation, it's really no longer hunting, it's just plain old killing. Again, nothing wrong with it, but I find the over-emphasis on LR a bit sad. It's an age-old trait to want gear that makes up for skill.
