Rokstok Lite

xxxx80 for me. I'm guessing I wasn't signed in when I ordered mine as I can't see it on my list of orders. The "in production" email was nice to get.

I'd be happy to get it "right now", but I'll be happy to get it when it arrives even if it's late. UM's got a lot going on and I appreciate what they do.
Mine is #47 and I can't look mine up either. I sent an email April 14th to see what the eta was and was told it was in production and it would be a few more weeks.

Just got 100 of these dropped off at my desk. @Salmon River Solutions crushed it on these.

@wnelson14 @Q_Sertorius and anyone else who is eagerly waiting on their stock.

first, I understand your frustration, I apologize for the delays. I'm doing my best to keep quality priority over hitting a deadline.

second, the "non-refundable" is mostly to keep tire kickers at bay.
@wnelson14 or anyone else that sees this as too little, too late, I'll cut you a refund check today or if you ordered with UM, I'm sure they will do the same.

I grossly underestimated the interest in a wood version. I received 25+ orders December to February which increased the lead time substantially.
I'm also a one-man shop. I touch every single thing, every single step.
I'm looking into options to speed up production, but implementation takes time.

I'm also involved in other projects to bring them to market starting with Rokslide.

Please, don't hesitate to ask for an update. I can't give specific dates until the finish is nearly done simply because every stock is different.

Mike

Mike, I Appreciate the update and transparency.

I still believe yourself and UM need to update and align more realistic timelines on both websites.

@longrangelead:

If you update the timelines on the websites, it might be a good time to update your pricing as well, given the backlog and comparison to similar market services.

For instance, I'm waiting on a walnut shotgun stock from a prominent stock maker in the sporting clays arena. I paid way more for it up front in 2021 (plus $2400 to get a pattern) and picked a chunk of wood to get a spot in the queue. I authorized the pattern and got in the actual production queue in 2024. I got a text last week that its ready for its final action fit and I sent my receiver and fore end iron today. Who knows when I'll get it back.

I think it's arguable that your craftsmanship is superior to the shotgun example. Your customer service is superior.

Thanks for making us stocks.

I agree. People should be paying at least $4,000 for a wood Rokstok.
