Rokstok Lite

I am to mock up and see what lengths feel good for myself now that I determined I want longer. Didn’t know till I had it in hand (I don’t have spacers in my rokstok regular currently). No clue if the outline of mine is standard or not (note the bit of angle on the toe I mentioned above, @flyfisher117 is yours like that?). Haven’t decided if I’ll just figure out a length and reuse the coarse screws or install some rivnuts (I have a kit from a different project).

Is UM not offering spacers for these? I didn’t pay attention since I can make my own personal ones. I assumed they are and if so any reason not to get those?
I will check the bottom angle of mine. I hadn’t noticed anything but I didn’t look that close.

They will be offering spacers eventually. Just don’t have any and no eta when they will get them. I was hoping to tinker with LOP sooner than later.

Then why would @pods8 (Rugged Stitching) need to be working on spacers? I'm confused.
I posted a picture of the stock pad off (for reference for others) and commented that I wanted a longer length of pull, @IrkedCitizen guessed I was likely making something based on the knowledge I 3d print swfa shims and tikka mags. I replied saying I was working on something for myself and pointed out if UM is selling them users should just get them from UM and in that way they'll also get threaded inserts too (I believe).

Has anybody heard back about the thicker recoil pad?
I have, this is the email chain:

Hi,
I ordered a Rokstok Lite last Thursday, 2/12/26,
and was wondering if I could do the 1” grind to fit Pachmayr pads, instead of the 1/2”? Also, I’d like to delete the single rear sling stud, as well, so no sling studs. Thanks much

Response:
Hey there, We should be able to do that, we don't have any of the lites on hand as of right now, So therefor its hard telling. What we can do is put a note in the system and we can keep you updated as time and orders progress.

Thanks, I hadn’t heard anything after my initial email. I’ll be sure to follow up on it when I confirm cerakote.

Are there any downfalls associated with the stepped down forend? I know Cliff mentioned it might be a little too short to shoot off a pack consistently. How much of an issue do we think this is? Also, if the balance point of your rifle ends up somewhere around where the step is and you hand carry some, how does that play out?

No, not real ones.

It’s not too short. It’s that you have to get used to pushing the rifle forward fully. Most of Cliff’s issues stemmed from him being used to the longer forend of the regular RS, where you just plop it down anywhere. There is a lot of use with the Lite- you just pay attention and habituate yourself to pushing forward on packs.

It’s phenomenal if it balances at the step/belly. Carries great.

That's what I figured I just wanted to make sure. Makes sense to me.

As shown this rifle balances exactly in the middle of the step.

I hand carry majority of the time or strap rifles to my pack. I took it on a coyote hunt this weekend, walked a couple miles and thought it carried in hand beautifully. Spring bear I’ll be able to log more miles packing it though.

I have a habit of driving my rifle forwards into my pack when shooting off of them. I don’t foresee any issues with not enough forend. But time will tell as I get more trigger time with it.
