Rokstok Lite

AI says no, different length action. I've asked Jessica at Stockys if we can do both. @Stockys

Based on a conversation with @Stockys,

It sounds like the smart folk at stocky’s figured out they can indeed inlet the Rokstok lite for the Howa superlite from the same mold/block/whatever for the Howa mini.

@Unknown Munitions - if someone has placed an order in the first run of Howa mini stocks, can they specify to have it inletted for a superlite instead?

I’ve emailed on the topic, but figured it’s a topic some folks here would want to know the answer to as well.

Thanks!

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't that OG weight also out of date? Aren't the OG also a bit heavier off the line now? I haven't followed the OG thread lately but previously there was a mention of using a higher resin content to improve the surface finish at one point in time.
I’m not sure. That weight spec is from the current UM product description. My Rokstok was one of the early ones (delivered May ‘24). IIRC my Tikka/No-rail/Sendero was right at 30 oz with no LoP spacers.

On one of the podcasts, Jake said the Lite without butt pad was coming in right at 22 oz, plus or minus an ounce. Their first three production stocks were 23.9, 23.9, and just over 24 oz. I assume this is with pad & recoil lug installed.

If Lite’s are now coming in at 27-28 oz, that sounds like a potential production issue they might want to look into before it creates the next big Rokslide uproar.

yeah, I am fairly certain they are a few ounces heavier now too. Like 32-35oz.

Weight from 2 unpainted stocks from the show:
25.3oz tikka sendero no rail
29.2oz tikka sporter with the 6" pic/arca rail (SRS lists that rail as 1.6oz).

On those examples looks like the sporter vs sendero channel increases weight ~2.3oz

The tikka sendero no rail seems like it represents to lightest configuration for a tikka I'd think. Maybe the inletting on the remmington versions makes those ones lighter and that is the listed starting weight? IE maybe the tikka ones are just 2oz heavier in general?

Initial impression with a +1/2" slip on pad for comparison, the +1/2" definitely feels better. Not that the regular LOP isn't workable.

Anyone know what screw head are on the screws in the rokstok? I presume they're likely the same. Philips? Torx?

The last one removed was held on with Phillips head screws.

I did the same thing to my peak 44 bastion.. works great at increasing LoP. However, it likes to slip off when going in/out of my backpack rifle carrier.
