Rokstok Lite

Those went fast. I was on their site a few minutes before 12 and they were down to like 260 available. Ordered a tikka inlet and put "bare carbon" in the comments so we'll see if it can be had with no paint. This will replace the rokstock on my boys 223 and he wants to paint it himself.

They had at least 1 bare carbon RokStok lite available for purchase at the Hunt Expo yesterday that I saw, so I'm guessing it shouldn't be an issue.

I played around with it a bit last night and my initial reaction is that this is the poor man's (Gunwerks) ClymR, with some subtle improvements such as an even flatter toe line. My alignment and positioning behind the two stocks is identical. It's kind of crazy how similar they feel in almost every way, outside of the forend.

Regarding the forend, I don't shoot much off hand but I was a bit worried the forend may feel crowded given how short it is. My fears there are largely alleviated now, there is plenty of real estate. Also and for what it's worth, I think Seekins new sideways arca plate will fit like a glove in front of the magazine while still leaving plenty of real estate on the forend up to the pic rail. I'll follow-up there once I get it installed.

Overall, a refined ClymR at 1/4 of the cost sounds like a home run for anyone that can snag one🤘.

(edited w/ thoughts on forend).

I’m need to pick up one of the Seekins arca rails. I was thinking it would fit great and not get in the way carrying the rifle.

As mentioned some of the expo one's were.

I ordered with the “flush arca rail”. I don’t think that was offered on the original Rokstok. Can take it off if I don’t like it.

@Cojam are we still required to have some sort of cerakote pattern?

I went with Untamed Backcountry but bare carbon would be really nice.

Unless things change, I think you’re fine. I received an email saying my original Rokstok was shipping to UM. I sent them a message about leaving it bare instead of cerakoting and they said “no problem”.

I asked for bare carbon on my lite as well.
