Functionally not that I’ve seen. Mediums were what were evaled originally.

Oh yes. If the rifle is sub 9lbs, very few are going to be able to spot their own shots consistently from most positions with a 6.5 PRC- let alone a 7PRC. 308win suppressed was pretty solid.


Also, I am pretty sure they are going to have a recommendation for max recoil level for the lite stock. I plan to shoot quite a bit of 300PRC/win mag through one to make sure it will take it, but I definitely wouldn’t be saying that it is appropriate to use for them.

I can calculate roughly what the recoil energy will be based on the weight of the rifle and the reduction from the suppressor, but I'm wondering if the Rokstok design with the pad above the bore line allows for 1ft-lb more? Or 0.5ft-lb more? Do you have any insight on that?

This is an off handed observation, not a rigorous study. But when it comes to spotting shots, the ROKStok does help greatly. It seems to be about 5-10ft-lbs of recoil more for the same ability compared to most stocks.

In other words a 308 in a ROKStok is about as consistent spotting shots as a 243 in most other stocks of the same weight.

Prototype:
-Forend is 2" shorter
-bottom of forend is moved up ½"
-top of channel is milled off at bolt release height forward.
-toe moved up ½" behind grip.
-comb reduced ¼" at butt pad.
-entire stock is narrowed at least ⅛" except grip.
-weight is with Proof Sendero barrel channel.

Final production may vary slightly, Form or UM can verify going forward.

Yes, they will be 3pc laminate to strengthen grip.

It does trade a bit of pure shooting performance for size and weight over the ROKStok. However, it still does way better than any other sporter stock.

It’s like a mini Tikka Master Sporter, and it behaves like one.

I know this is VERY hard to quantify but how much real world yardage loss (RS to RS lite) would it equate to for the average slider in field?

I can attest to this having shot Rokstoks from 223 to 300 Win Mag with multiple users providing feedback as well.

You can generally speaking see a “cartridge down” in the reticle movement on targets when the rokstok is compared side by side to factory tikka stock, or other popular aftermarket carbon stocks.
