If the wood is 20-21oz, it would be nice to see the carbon at 17-18oz.
18oz should be the goal for a "lite" style rifle stock.
The lines on the lite look much better than the full version. I suspect those same lines trade a little on function, but it looks very nice to me.
Is there enough meat on either the wood or carbon lite to get the Gunsmith Spartan adaptor in there? I would order a presale wood stock today if there were that option...!
Do you notice any increased muzzle flip with the lighter weight of the stock and the barrel/suppressor weight balance being moved further back?It does trade a bit of pure shooting performance for size and weight over the ROKStok. However, it still does way better than any other sporter stock.
It’s like a mini Tikka Master Sporter, and it behaves like one.

No- not in the combos it has been used in. I mean yes- there will be more rifle movement because it is lighter, but overall the weight and .25” above bore pad height seems to be offset a bit by the forend dropping the CG.
That combo- shorter barrel, OTB can, and RS Lite is probably the best feeling combo I have used for a lighter rifle. The scalloped/raised forend lowers the CG, and that combined with the flat forend make it sit very well on any rest/surface- it is very stable in field shooting. The forend edges are softened and rounded so it is still very comfortable in the hand, as well the whole stock is thinner and smaller. It is significantly thinner side to side, especially at the receiver area- very comfortable in the hand.
It performs very well and feels great.
Any idea when the wood lite version will be available to order?
In your opinion, what do you think is the upper end of cartridge/recoil that you’d put in the RS Lite and the average shooter still be able to spot their impacts?No- not in the combos it has been used in. Is a suppressed 6.5prc or 7prc more than you’d recommend?
That is pure sexy!

It ... feels great.
Just hit up alpine rifles I suppose. @longrangelead@Formidilosus care to point us in the direction where we could order them? UM is not listing it as an option yet on the wood Rokstock page.
Looks like your running high rings?
Guys, I'm simply the maker of their stock.
