Rokslide Push-Up Challenge!!! (BIG PRIZES)

I can only be thankful for this competition. I have -sadly- no army background neither a PhD in computer science, nevertheless it took me no more than 5 min to find a you tube video demonstrating the army standard for a push-up. After that I just had to make an attempt doing my best at it, and then sit back and witness it being handily surpassed by others. We will see how we stack up in the end when the incorrect reps are eliminated. I would really have to lie to myself, if I say that any of my PUs are not counted because I did not know the rules. Maybe if I was illiterate and blind at the same time...
So, a big thank you for putting this competition together.

I'll make this as clear as I can.....

We have 5 judges grading this and each judge has a different background (3 military and 2 non).

All entries had the same info from the beginning, so EVERYONE had an equal chance at winning.

So to me, all you needed to do was "your best" and the judges would take it from there.

Thanks for putting this contest on Aron. Seemed pretty clear to me. I thought whiners weren't allowed on Rokslide?

I was very hesitant to type anything as it is so hard so express how you're really feeling through a short typed message.

I wasn't whining, I had no chance of winning anyways so it didn't matter one bit how I interpreted the rules.

I think constructive criticism is a very important thing and I was just trying to add some of that.

If you go back and look through the thread you can see that numerous people had questions (some may have been stupid and self explanatary and others were legit) and those questions were not answered. No big deal its just a fun contest I'm not sitting all mad or feeling ripped off. I just wonder why the rules weren't stated clearly. Its just a simple question I had.

I get that there are a lot of whiners out there and on the internet it seems you can't do anything without someone complaining so I get why people jumped on my comment. I tried to not sound negative, my post began and ended in a positive light.

I just observed that MANY MANY people were unsure of the rules and then MANY MANY videos were bogus. Overall I'm betting that half of all the pushups that were done won't be counted, just my observations from the videos I watched. I think some of that is because the rules were vague.

So again I'm not whining or complaining or crying foul or asking for a do over. It was a great contest and the sponsors, Aron, and the judges should be thanked tremendously for giving up there money/time for this. Thank you I had fun and it was beneficial.

Also I apologize to Aron and the judges if you thought I was complaining and unappreciative.

After all, I think it was a fantastic contest, and I think now that most everybody clarified their feelings and (mis)understandings hopefully all hurt feelings are gone. Let's wait on the results, congratulate the winners and the organizers, and hope we will have a rerun next year, so I can put up a stiffer fight ;-)

This would be an awesome yearly event. I'd be all in for it, that and a pull-up contest.

Yep, I thought it was a great idea and competition. I wasn't anywhere near some of the beasts on this website, but I more then doubled my numbers within the month of practicing. Thanks again Aron and judges.

If you are one of the winners, Aron or Ryan will contact you to go over the prizes.

Any other questions you can PM me.

Congrats to the winners!!!

So are we having a pull up challenge?! Hopefully my buss up wrist heals in in time to participate in this challenge! 3 months without being able to do any push-ups/pull-ups creates undue stress on a young buck!

I never realised how pathetic my pushups were until I filmed myself. This was awesome for me. Thanks guys!

Lets have a yearly event on this it was fun. Motivation to stay strong for all.
