Rokslide Push-Up Challenge!!! (BIG PRIZES)

I'm in for this- just have to film ourselves doing it and post before the 15th to enter? I have neglected upper body for quite a while, so this should be interesting!

Had a buddy over last night who did push-ups with me. He's about 145 lbs and 5'6". Was a state wrestling contender in high school... He busted out 80 with some effort, and he never works out. Then he tells me he had the high school record at 140..... :-0

Hopefully he's not a Rokslide member! ;)

I'm betting that there are some monster pushup guys on here. When I was in boots way back when I saw a guy do 500 clean pushups . He got busted for something while we were marching and I still remember cringing when I heard the drill instructor order " pushups , forever , begin ! The Female DI called him off at 500. He hadn't paused or slowed down a bit. Just know that they are out there.

I think I'd almost have to see that to believe it.... That's insane!

He was a short stocky dude with huge arms and chest. He didn't look like a roided up guy either. He pumped them out like a machine. It was amazing. I know that when the DI called him out front I thought I was going to see some recruit get killed but damn ! Two days later he beat the chit out of another DI and they hauled him off to the brigg to never be seen again.
Another one was Sargent Major Roger Moore ret. I watched him do 201 picture perfect pushups at 50 years old to win a $50 bet. He said he did 200 pushups and situps every morning along with 100 pullups. Lee called bs and Roger said put money down. It was awesome to watch that old guy whip them out without even breathing hard. He could still wear his uniform like the day he was forced to retire when he didn't make Sargent Major of the Marine Corp.

so question then...are we allowed to rest in the downward dog position, considering you arent touching the ground with anything else, or do you have to rest in the plank position?

Man u guys r hardcore. I royally suck at pushups. I did 55 the other day and was totalled. I feel like my chest doesn't get hit but my tris do. Wtf am I doing wrong? I do 25 and then its 5 at a time with the Kenny Chesney pose in between like I'm waiting for Sailors to show up. My arms are wide too.

OK! I wasn't going to enter because when this was originally posted I couldn't even do 1 YES NOT EVEN 1! Although its not 50 or 100 i'm pretty dang proud!

Wow, going from no push-ups to 15 is actually outstanding! My hats off to you for the motivation & perseverance you put forth, very well done!
