RL26 in short barrels

Is anyone loading RL26 in sub 18” barrels? I have a couple lbs left and was thinking about using it up in an 18” 6.5cm or 17” 308.
The creed would be paired with 130 tmk’s or 143 eldx.
308 would be 168? Eldm, 150AB’s or 130ttsx.

Any feedback is appreciated.

I have great results with RL26 in one of my 18" 6.5CMs with 147 ELDMs. It wasn't the answer in another 18" CM nor an 18" 6.5 SAUM.

It also works well in a 20" 6.5CM with 156 bergers.

I'd give it try in that 6.5!

I quit using my RL26 before I got shorter barrels. So I’m no help. I will say that superformance in 6.5 CM doesn’t show as much velocity delta in a 20” compared to a 22” in comparison to RL16.

I dont think RL26 is going to be a good fit for 308 and 130-168 grain pills. 6.5 with heavies should be a better fit.

I don’t believe RL26 is going to be good in either, it not because of barrel length.

I get great results with RL-26 in an 18" 6.5 CM and 147s as well as from a 19" 6mm CM and 108's. I have no experience with it in .308's.

I'm currently "nursing" my last pound and a half for hunting loads only.

I’m trying to use it up so it stops teasing me, lol. What kind of velocity are you seeing with the 147’s from an 18” barrel? I just so happen to have a few of those. Was saving them for my 18” 6.5prc but have other combos for that rifle.
FYI, I’ve never heard of anyone using RL26 in a 308 but wanted to throw it out there in case someone has had success with it.
