I had a Sig whiskey 4 5-20x50 on a Savage 110 in 7mm PRC that did something very similar. They replaced it free of charge and I just chocked it up to a one off thing. I have the replacement scope on my new Tikka t3x 7mm PRC. I only have 80 or so rounds on it so far but im very nervous about it.

Much appreciated. I wish they sent you an EPL series also. Personally I am most interested in hunting scopes.

Aside from tacking tests, I derive most bench guns are treated well. Even PRS/NRL rigs. Rarely dropped but spun a ton.

I could always ask. Worse they could do is say no. I hunt with heavy stuff. Heavy is good. Heavy is reliable. I just figured that since the EP5 is their flagship optic, that’s the one that should stand up the best from them

Not dropped a ton, but slammed into barricades quite a lot.

I felt like Form had already tested an EPL and had to check. He did an EPL 4-16 and it did suffer a partial fail. And I just got into PRS and I can tell you from the three matches I’ve been to that most scopes are getting banged pretty regularly. I smacked my Arken on my truck before I even started the last match I shot. I am also hunting with my PRS rig this season so it’s not completely unrealistic to have a heavy scope on a hunting rifle
