Rifle scopes you'd love to see Form test

I tried to run one for multiple prs seasons. I think from 2019-2022. The CS was incredible, but the thing was always broken, and the zero was always wandering. At one point I had 3 in my living room. I probably went through 10 or 12 of those scopes in 3 years. In 2022, I adjusted zero a couple tenths on the fresh paint of the first stage of nearly every match. I was in the running at the finale of a little regional series and the scope completely let go. After that I moved on. The engineers at vortex were not receptive to the fact that the scope design did not work. The customer service people asked me to talk to the engineering department multiple times. The engineers didn't want to hear it.
Oof.. Almost picked one up for a NRL scope off classifieds recently, glad i didn't. Keeping the kahles 624 on that gun and picked up a XRS3 for cheap on classifieds here to go on the PRS gun, unsure how I feel about that one thus far.

I’d be curious about Sig Tango DMR 3-18x44?
It can be had under 1k and weighs 25.5oz (allegedly), if it’s reliable it seems like a Mark5 killer.

If they ended the windage hashs at 4 mill and the elevation at 2 in the reticle. To make it usable at 3x. If they added that internal scope level too it would be nice too.

Sig calls that “Levelplex” I had a couple tango6 scopes that had it but they were heavier than this. Sold them years ago but now I kinda wish I’d kept one.

How are the high magnification Mavens? Are they are solid as the lower magnification?
What about the 2.5-20 NF?

Does a company that makes one or a few scope that passes the scope eval generally make all their products as good?
Unfortunately not. Maven only has 2 models made in Japan, the rest are China. Athlon has 1 scope made in Japan, the rest are China. Burris has 1 maybe 2 in Japan, the rest are China. I think vortex has 1 in Japan, the rest are China.

However I would love to see testing on the athlon cronus. And the maven 5-30x both higher magnification, made in Japan. And I haven't seen any reviews done on either.

If you say so, I believe you. However I was under the impression only the rs1.2 and rs3.2 were Japanese. What are the other models?
Rs4 and RS6, and maybe more. On Vortex, not all but one are Chinese either. Same with Burris. Might want to check your info.

Well, that's what i get for listening to people on forums lol. I stand corrected, my apologies folks.

I gave it a Google and am just finding other forums giving conflicting information. Has anybody compiled a list of all of the Japanese made scopes? I'm just trying to learn so I'm not spreading bad info. I'm still just finding the razor line from vortex and the tactical and diamond lines from burris. I was definitely wrong about maven. All of the RS scopes are Japan and the CR is Philippines.

I'm always ready and willing to admit when I'm wrong but would appreciate being corrected rather than criticized.

Not that I’m aware of. But, all the scopes that pass the drop eval, are made in Japan, with the only exception I’m aware being the NF that are made in the US.

Schmidt’s I believe are made in Germany or Hungary.
