Rifle holder Pack attachemnt

I use the Slik Sling. It works but I don't love it. Mine constantly comes loose. The butt stock cradle loosens and slowly slips down, somehow. And the strap around the rifle has done that too. I now put a safety pin through the webbing to hold it all in place.

Do you put the safety pin through the rifle butt straps or on top? I am dealing with the same thing. I do like it but I am not in love lol

Just through the butt stock straps and my packs waist strap. That way it's locked in place.

I use a slik sling as well. Love it. Never had an issue with it sliding /loosening. For those that do, after you have the length set to your liking, did you double over the strap and weave it back through the tri-glide (shows this in the video that about 2/3 the way down the page below)?

Have been using the Creative Outdoors Slik Sling has been a great rifle holder for the last couple years. Would recommend to anyone looking for backpack rifle holder.
