The guys at the Expo were approached by a gentleman with a pretty interesting piece of gear and while not marketed for hunters, with some tweaking, could work.

It's called the Walkingpod and while not clothing, not exactly a shelter either— something in between. I've got one to test out and will report back when finished testing.

Stay tuned.

Are you doing a cliff test in it?

This is just after the cliff test it, but it ends up being like a box kite and I just floated down—that could come in handy in retrospect :D

Mike, even your dog is like WTH?

Seriously though, this is an interesting piece I think more for a parent out in the weather watching soccer or some outdoor sport, but it might have a niche for some hunters in certain areas. The weight factor might keep it away from most ounce watchers, but for those who really want some weather protection and will be stationary, it could have a place.

I laugh this was posted on april 1, and am still halfway waiting for the giveaway by you and the staff that this is in fact a joke, despite the assurances it isn't.

@mtwarden if I remember correctly the owner was looking for new applications for this and was very willing to make changes to better suit different niches. In the future you might have an option that’s a little lower cost for say working the drive through at chick fil an and something lighter/more breathable for the outdoors. Geologists & photographers were also showing interest so I wouldn’t expect camo but likely an earth tone option.

They have a grey that isn't too bad; that's what I was supposed to get.

Just thinking out loud, how about mowing your lawn when the bugs are out thick? Or over bear bait when the bugs are bad?
