I ordered up a pair of these to use for most scenarios. I’ve always missed having a ranging bino. But I’ve been pairing the NL pures with the BR4 for the last two years and have been really happy with that combo. I have yet to lose any shot opportunities by having separate platforms. Almost all of my hunting is long range glassing and then a calculated move to close distance and kill the animals. If I only hunted within range of making shots (sub 1000 yards) there would be no need for anything other than an RF bino. But my hunts are 99% glassing and 1% ranging and killing. I just personally like the separate units for that.
I’ve always thought this too. I used to have Fury’s and much prefer running a bino and a separate rangefinder now. I’m spending so much more time using them to glass and NOT range that the horrible ergonomics, size, and weight of RF binos is not worth it. Especially when I can pull out my rangefinder form my harness and get a range in just a few more seconds.

@PNWGATOR pinged me for an update and reminder on cold soak performance. These binos stay outside- I do not bring them inside at all.

First button push and immediate return to the top of the mountain-

From over 100° F to -26° F these bino LRF’s have functioned flawlessly.

After yet another battery swap in my Leicas, the blr10s are looking mighty tempting.

Interestingly I haven’t had the cold soak issues with recent Leica BRF’s, but the Geovid Pro’s do go through batteries every week or so in cold weather. In comparison, I believe I am still the original battery in the Revics someday- 8 months of near daily use.

anyone else find them impossible to focus? Tried two pairs thinking it was a bad pair, maybe it’s just me.

I just got the Revic range finder only - has a ballistic app for quick adjustments in the field - still in the set up process but super impressed so far.

Bought a set a few months ago, really happy with my choice. Shot a NRL Hunter-like match today and I really like the speed of ranging and how quick it returns dope.

I am however having a hard time getting the dope set up correctly. I put two different guns data in (7mag/195eol and 260rem/140rdf). Trued the 7 mag and it seemed good. Cant get the 260 to true up and spit out good dope. It either tells me my MV is like 300 fps slower or my BC is .120 lower. I understand a 100 fps or .020-.040 change in BC. It also does a weird thing where I true it a distance, say 920 yards to 6.5 mils. if i re-range that same target that I just told it should be 6.5mils it will tell me to hold 6.3.

I made a mistake getting ready for the match I shot today and left it set for 7mag while shooting my 260 and it was actually spot on out to 700ish yards and then was .2 low. I shot the match today with 7mag dope while shooting a my 260 and added .2 past 700.

@Formidilosus Thanks for the review, I just picked up a pair and looking forward to receiving them. It seems Revic suggests using non-magnetic closure bino harness for the BLR10b to avoid throwing off the internal compass. Do you think that's necessary? Seems like firing azimuth should only play a role in ELR shots.

Haven’t tried it.
