All it says is that it is Alpha glass and a better engine. Just seeing if anyone compared them side by side?
Are there not multiple first hand accounts in that thread via posts of users side by side? Maybe I linked the wrong one sorry. All it says is that it is Alpha glass and a better engine. Just seeing if anyone compared them side by side?
Thanks Form, I guess my question would be is the gen1 at $1500 used giving that much up to the eye and view compared to the $3000 gen2?View attachment 928235
In order of image/pleasance of view from left to right, and about the differences between them-

These days I find my priorities for hunting funny. I used to spend my money on rifle glass and accessories and get whatever range finding binos I could get from vortex. Now I shoot SWFA rifle glass and spend all my money on binos. It depends. If you are very picky with glass, you will probably want a bit better than the Gen1’s, whereas the Gen 2’s that I have seen cross over into good enough even for picky users it seems. $1,500 for the Gen 1’s is a very good option.
@Formidilosus did you have any info on the Gen2 aim point? I thought the Gen1 was a 1 mil box, don't have any idea what the new one is. Maybe 1 mil wide and .5 mil tall?
I pinged Revic, what I got was “ 5.5 MOA / 1.6 MIL at 100 y”You know, I feel like I was told- but I don’t remember. I will try to find out.
I was told the new Swaro 12x42s are pretty epic for hunting, but range is limited to 2000 yds. If you need more than that, the revics are the choice. They have a stronger laser. I am leaning towards the new Swaros. So does this make the br10 the apex rangefinding bino if you also want ballistics?
