Restocked SWFA 3-9x42 Gen 1

I recently mounted one in a set of UM Tikka mediums. First time using those rings. Sighted in at 100, I only have 2 revs of elevation left. I would prefer being closer to center, but was wondering if this was normal.

Probably depends on how square your barrel is to your receiver. Only other option would be to use a canted rail; but then again 10 mils is quite a bit of travel, truth be told. Should get you pretty close to 1k with most rounds

I just checked 2 of mine that are mediums and they have 11-12 mils of elevation.

FWIW I just checked mine, in UK Tikka Low rings, I've got 12.4 mils of elevation.

I asked them on the phone a few weeks ago and the answer was that the 3-9s are currently in production -whatever that means.

I spoke with them this week. They said “next couple of weeks” my guess is we should see them on the website in a month, but who knows for sure. I wish they had an account on here that they used and were active on.

Ordered mine Saturday 4/11 and received a ship notification Monday, 4/13. Fwiw the carrier (UPS) has yet to receive the item, but I imagine it will be in the system in the next day or two.

Got mine in today. Did we ever decide if the big o-ring inside the turrets was necessary for anything? The turrets feel about 5 billion times better with it removed.
