Restocked SWFA 3-9x42 Gen 1

Is it fair to assume these would work on the windage turret as well? So that windage is locked at least in one direction? Or is there a better way? I thought I saw a post saying you could put a 7/8 inch cap on, but I don't understand how that would stay on, since you can't screw it on without engaging the erector spindle. Maybe I'm missing something? Wouldn't be the first time!

Personally I wrap electrical tape around the base of the windage dial once its set, overlapping onto the scope body.

Finally took out my 3-9 from the recent release of scopes and now I understand why they are never in stock. Great reticle, solid glass for a good price. I love my rs1.2s but have enough, future guns will get SWFAs. Thanks for sharing this info

Dose anyone know if there is someone making a small magnification throw lever. Or a stud like on the SWFA 3-15x42.

Ranger band on my SWFA 3-9 as well. Read about it here, tried it and loved it. I’ve added them to a couple of other scopes and got rid of the bulky throw levers.

The ranger band is a great tip for a stiff scope mag ring. I tried it and couldn't believe how much difference it makes.

I found a glitch in the matrix.

I'm zero'ing my boys rifles at 50 yards with 40gr CCI standard velocity.

I tried to spin up to 14.3 mil on the red one to hit a plate at 300 yards and it wouldn't go.

I went to label them and the red one is zero'd on the 3rd rev of elevation and the brown gun is zero'd on the 2nd rev of elevation. Guns are "identical" except for the cosmetic differences and the RH versus LH.

That seems like a lot of mil for 200. I think I'm at 13.6 mil at 300 yards. I dialed 3.6 and used the 10 mil hash the other day

Good catch, I meant 300. I edited my post.

I wonder if I sent it back to SWFA...which one is off spec?

With my luck, it's probably the other one that will dial to 300 yards that is out of spec...

I want to say you get 5 rotations ? I’m already at like 3 where the .22 is zeroed (but that’s a 6x).

I put a new 3-9x on the red gun. It zeroed at rev 3 elevation.

I put the scope from the red gun on the brown gun. It shot low and required 4.8 mil of adjustment to zero.

Send it back?

Live with it?

Keep it and brag about how it will shoot 5 mil farther than yours?
I'm having trouble following your measurements. So when you say the previous scope on the red gun was able to turn 14.3 down from zero, is that in the same area as Rev 3 (15 ish mils up)?

And adjusting that scope down 4.8 mils when you put it on the other rifle to zero matched what the first scope did?

I must be missing something because it sounds like the scopes are consistent but maybe the barrels arent?
