What kind of grease is everyone using on the turret o-rings?
I used a food safe grease I use on the O-ring seals on my homebrew Corny kegs in my kegerator. Whether it was the best or not I don’t have a clue. It worked lmao. What kind of grease is everyone using on the turret o-rings?

My shims arrived today and are a perfect fit. I messed with them even though I haven’t mounted the scope yet. Bought on flea bay in the link in my earlier post. Messaged the seller and asked for a 3-9 kit. Told the seller Tim that I wanted them for the 3-9 and he promptly shipped them out. They fit the 3-9 like a glove. Now I just actually need to get the scope on a rifle. Soon.Got them here. I contacted the seller, who’s known on multiple forums, and asked if he was still making them for the 3-9. He responded that he did have a 3-9 kit available and to send him a message with the purchase asking for them. So I bought the kit and sent him a message. These come very well recommended.

Zero Stop for SWFA Super Sniper Scopes | eBay
We manufacture zero stop shim sets for use with SWFA Super Sniper scopes. You MUST select the correct turret type or the shim set will not work with your scope. It will be marked milrad or MOA. The shim sets for all the fixed power scopes and also the 3-15 are all identical and interchangeable.www.ebay.com
I did the same and installed them tonight. Great fit. I sanded down one of the smallest shims and got it to stop .1 mils past my 100 yard zero.My shims arrived today and are a perfect fit. Does it just give you a little extra grip? How does it help?Small ranger band fixes the stiff power ring without the bulk of a throw lever. 12$ for an assorted sized bag on Amazon.
Yes, much better grip. Still stiff but much more usable compared to relying on just the scallops for traction.Does it just give you a little extra grip? How does it help?
Nice - I just put a throw on one of mine because it’s such a pain to adjust specially with cold hands but I don’t really like having a lever sticking out there. Probably will give this a tryYes, much better grip. Still stiff but much more usable compared to relying on just the scallops for traction.
To put it another way: without the band, I had to be cognoscente of how I had my grip on the zoom ring to move it. With my two scopes, it required a c-grip, and was pretty clumsy to actuate. However with the band, I can use two fingers without giving the action much attention.
I should note, I used the smallest ranger band. Only about an inch across when not stretched. I rolled them over the eye piece with a good deal of effort then straightened them out, but they are not going anywhere now that they’re in place.
I haven’t given a throw lever a second thought since installing them.
This is interesting. curious to see what the fix is.Well this kinda sucks. I've had an swfa before where the turret didn't line up with the tick marks after I zeroed it. With this one it is pretty much right in between ticks
Does anyone have a clever fix?

The collar at the base of the turret that sits on the tube? Yes, someone else awhile back mentioned you can move it, so I gripped it really hard and am able to spin it a bit. I don't think I'll glue it in just in case I need to move it again. It's snug enough I don't think it will move on its ownOn mine, the part that says “up” on it is a separate part and spins. Not sure it’s supposed to, but you are able to line it up this way.

Tried it out today and you’re right. That does help a lot. Good tip - appreciate itYes, much better grip. Still stiff but much more usable compared to relying on just the scallops for traction.

I followed this process and got some shims direct from Tim for the SWFA 3-9. Easy to install and works great! I was able to get mine to stop at .3 mil past zero using the shims. If you guys are buying the zero stop shims, save the dude some money and buy them direct.

I have heard great things about these. How do they compare glass quality wise to PST gen I ?I've been waiting for one of these for a rifle build and SWFA said they would be back in Feb. I checked the website this morning and they're in stock. Figured I'd share for anyone else that's looking. Was hoping to see the Gen 2 upgrades on them, but I'll take it!
I missed out, but use "cyclops" for a 10% discount.
