Looks like I just wasted $10 on the 29 then.

You can always wrap some electrical tape on it to help hold it together.

My local Scheels doesn't have a 30 obj in stock, so I'm just going to use the 29 and see how it does.

One gripe I have about the BC caps is that the objective cap flips open so easily while I've got it strapped to my pack. Maybe the extra tight fit will mitigate that issue
