It looks like you are correct. When I ordered via their website, the only option I saw was "HD Series Throw Lever" but now I see there is a different choice for 3-9. Or maybe I missed it before.
There is also a carbon fiber version for $5 more that’s a little smoother than the polymer.

For those who have run the 3x9 on UM rings on a tikka - what height did you go with?

I tried the lows on a tikka with a c6 Sendero barrel with my rs1.2 and it was too low and I found the mediums to be perfect. Curious if it’s the same with the swfa.

It is the same tube diameter; all 30mm scopes are going to sit at the same height.

I have been wanting to move my swfa 3-15 to my sage rat gun, and now I can. An nx8 would be awesome for a rat gun, but unless you live in sage rat country, it would be hard for me to justify.

I go east a couple times per year to shoot rats, and only use my 17hmr for the prime time (first 3hrs of daylight) and then i start walking the edges of the pivots and shoot my bow the rest of the day

The 3-9 will still be great for rats, that’s mostly what I have used in the past… a little more would be ideal, but unless you’re burning 10k rounds a year shooting rats every day, I would have a hard time spending over 2k on a rat scope

I don’t love the swfa 3-15 for an all around hunting scope, especially if there may be a new shooter behind the gun, but it will be awesome on my CZ

What's a sage rat?

Nevermind, I googled it. Learned something new today!

I appreciate the info since this will be my first Pdog trip. I'm excited about it and have been kinda reconfiguring some of my gear in preparation. I bought a KRG Echo for my Tikka .223 and really like how it handles now. It currently has a swfa 10x mounted but wanted something different.

I was thinking today about pulling the swfa 3-15 off my 7mm mag and putting it on the Tikka . Then I could mount one of the 3-9's on the 7mm instead. It's funny you mentioned that.

I plan on picking up a 17 hmr for the trip too. I never considered that caliber before until recently. After watching videos and looking at the ballistics, I can't believe I didn't get one sooner. I get lots of woodchucks on my property every year and it seems the 17hmr is a much better choice for them than the 22lr I've been using.

I think it was fortuitous that swfa finally kicked some 3-9s loose right before I bought an NX8. The universe provides sometimes.

A 17hmr is kind of a must to have just because, they are super fun to shoot. It’s insane how much destruction those little bullets do, and you hear the hits really tell. They will turn a rock chuck inside out. I like them for coyotes too.

Sage rats you will literally watch them blow up in the scope more often than not

I was bobcat hunting in IL a few years back when I drew a tag so I was carrying the 17 so as not to destroy it and anyways of course I call in multiple coyote. Well one of them I called to about 30 yards and he’s facing me so I shot him square in the chest and that damn coyote went board stiff and was dead in seconds. I couldn’t believe how effective that tiny ass bullet was. Absolutely no pelt damage either.
