Need to resole a couple pairs of Crispi boots. Would appreciate any suggestions of a quality cobbler/boot repair service.

Thanks in Advance and hope 2025 is good to you all!

I know Danner will resole their own boots. Does Crispi not offer that service? Maybe also worth emailing / calling them for a reference too on who they recommend.

I had our local guy do my Chrispi's, not quit like the original, but it will do.

I'm a bit slow getting after this but just an FYI Gary is wanting $135 and a month and a half return time. Dave Page is $150 and 2-3 weeks. It was nice actually talking with Dave Page versus a customer service rep at Garys. On a side note Saads in Spokane can not resole the Crispi type sole as there is nothing to stitch a new sole onto. Hope this helps others looking.

I'd recommend going with one of the reputable mail away places and just deal with the wait. I used a local guy for my old Meindel boots. He was highly reviewed. Did a crap job. I took them back after one hike because the glue didn't stick. Second time around they are 90% ok but I'll never bring anything there again. Took three times longer than he said both times. Could have mailed them off and had them back in the same time.

I may use him as well, but darn, I have to pay shipping both ways, so about $190...getting a little costly when I can wait for a sale and get the same brand new boots for $250. Gosh, I wear down so many pairs of boots that I'm seriously considering learning how to resole myself!

I just got my Wildrocks back from Crispi. Everything looks decent but I guess we really won't know until they get hunted in.

I called Gary and they told me Crispi was actually taking care of scheduling the repairs going forward. They gave me the number (below) to get it taken care of. I called Crispi and they took care of the shipping and scheduled which vendor based on lead time (mine are going to Gary), sent me a Fedex shipping label and said just to drop them off at the Fedex store and they will box and ship them. Cost was $190 after tax. We'll see how they are when I get them back (2 week lead time) whether it is worth the cost. If so, $190 is way better than $485 and I have a couple more pairs I'll send out. I'll report back...

Interesting, I called Gary's (not sure who it was I talked to) and they just told me to ship them over. This wasn't for a warranty repair though.

Good info, I'm thinking of having my crispi guide gtx boots resoled as well, how did yours turn out? Thanks!

I reached out to Dave Page and just received this reply....

"Thank you for reaching out to Dave Page, Cobbler.
I’ve decided to retire and close the business, and we are not accepting new work. We appreciate you're understanding.
Yours, Dave"

So, I have a pair of Kenetreks that need attention. Any recommendations?
