Repair style buckles

Anyone have issues with repair style buckles slipping out of the notch? It’s happened to me a couple times now and I’d like to resolve it before I lose something. Seems like the angle it’s at on the sewn in loop cause it to slip through.

I have that on my Kifaru Stryker. You could try flipping it so the long side is on the opposite side. You could also try a gatekeeper with the clip, or maybe this would be the best:
