Just shot the new to me 760 in 30-06.
I must say, it is intriguing cycling a rifle like you do a traditional shotgun.

The rifle amazed me as its lack of recoil. Granted, I’ve never owned a 30-06, just 270, 300 win mag, 300wm , 44 mag lever and countless 30-30 levers.
That 760 in 30-06 was a pleasure to shoot. Not harsh in the least. Was shooting 150s

I've always liked the 760s. I hunted with a 7400 in 30-06 for many years shooting 180gr. Its killed 90% of the game I've harvested. Its retired in the safe now!

I have a 7600 that has been my main gun for years, it shoots great with 165 accubonds reloads. I also have 2 760s a 35 rem and 30-06. Both shoot are accurate and great guns in thick woods.

I would love to pick up another 30-06 to thread for suppressor or remington remake this gun.

A 760 in ‘06 was my first rifle purchase as a teenager in the 80’s. Had a fixed 3x Weaver on it. It was accurate enough that I won the local Hunter’s Positional Match with it.

Never sell a gun…
