I think these XCR2s are the best 700s Remington ever made. They are stainless with black TryNyte which is rust proof and makes the action slick like glass. The bolt cycles as good or better than my T3X Lite. I love the nice, tall iron sights. Weighs 6 lb 10oz but the squishy pad mitigates recoil surprisingly well. Only slight blemish is a slightly shiny spot (still black, just shiny), about 10 inches forward of the rear sight. It's tiny, you have to look pretty hard to see it. This rifle has about 200 rounds fired, including two unsuspecting whitetail.
