Hoping the new host does well. Honestly I found Remi super easy to listen to and absorb. Some podcast hosts I can't stand to listen to.

I don’t watch hunting porn, but several people told me to check out Meateater. So I tried watching a few episodes. I think he’s Vegan.

Only thing he ever killed was when he gut shot and lost a big bull on the Wenatchee. Next day, a real hunter found it and lead the jabronies to the bloated bull. F-ing embarrassing

I mean, I’m not sure that you’ve watched more than a minute if you think he’s vegan, whatever that means.

That’s kind of why it’s a good show though, it’s not hunting porn, it’s much more real about the shit that goes into hunting. It’s not always successful and he doesn’t always kill bruisers. Sometimes it goes wrong. It’s not pretty and it’s not good but we all have had less than ideal hits on animals.

I think that's a good bet. He mentioned something about A Masterclass class. Would be interesting to see what he brings to the table in a setting like that.

I have more respect for remi than anybody in the industry. Hate to see that show end but also thought meateater just wasn’t a fit for him.

I remember in one of the episodes Steve almost got them killed by a Grizz because he wouldn’t listen to Cal. Cal had the rifle up and was like “Steve bear spray, get the bear spray. Bear spray. BEAR SPRAY.”

Meanwhile Steve is just frozen.

I think they’re referring to the Bitterroot one. They were trying to go for a double, this is just conjecture on here though.

He hasn’t been on since but there haven’t been that many episodes since.

I think so too. It was always going to be a low percentage play. It’s the only time i could think of that Remi might have shot an elk out from under him.

I don’t buy it though. I’m pretty sure they’re still friends.
