Rem 700’s - $249, savage axis wood stock - $184 @ Walmart

I went to my local Walmart to look at the rifleman suggested here and the Remington 700’s combo were clearances for $249. The savage axis wood stocked models were $184.

remington 770 were $124.

I picked up a savage axis 6.5 creedmore for $124...

Might want to check it out.

Man U guys have awesome wal mart employees. The guns at my local marts are gone in a couple hours with the speedy cell phones. The remainders are taped under the counters or behind the hyster in the back waiting until they’re marked down to 10$ or so. My wal mart employees feed the family on these sales and u need to enjoy it now because mine used to be like urs is now.

The only issue I usually run into at our Walmart is that you have to wait 20 minutes to find anyone to help you out in the sporting goods section. This was a situation where I was willing to have someone continue to call over the loud speaker that someone is needed in the sporting goods section...

I went back today and the 700’s w/scope dropped to $99, the 770 w scope dropped to $49, and some of the Savages dropped to $49.

I went to our local walmart down here in Streator, IL. All the savages were at $124 but sold out. I bought the last Remington 770 youth .243 with scope for $124. Didn’t need it but it’ll be a good beater coyote gun with a little better scope added to it.. And the kids can use it in a few years. Too cheap to pass up.

I just swapped scopes and shot the 223 adl yesterday. 4 inside an inch with first handloads. Lightened trigger today, really nice at 2 pounds and freefloated forearm. Curious to shoot it again. Never had an issue with a 700.

called 2 stores near me, both said they had over 50% off 3-4 weeks ago, but pretty much all normal prices now.

super bummed, would have liked to add a few calibers to my stable at those prices.

I would recommend going in person and having them scan the tag of the gun you want. I had the guy scan every rifle. After several dealings with wal mart employees the past week, it is clear many are under/uninformed. None of them knew the 700’s had dropped to $249 and the 770s and Savages had dropped to $49. Some plainly just don’t want to work. Make them work and it could pay huge dividends.
