I don't shoot AR's, but if you mean which orientation that your magazine sits in holster.. thats gonna be mag down and rounds forward, atleast for pistol.

To clarify I was wondering how you carry your magazines in your pouches. 1. For AR reloads and 2. For your hunting rifles.

The orientation of rounds up or rounds down in the pouch. Rounds forward or to the rear. The beer can or index refers to how you grab the magazine which could be inferred from the orientation. My bad. I was just wondering if anybody did it not the same for one reason or another.

I tend to limit my rodeos to 5 rounds max, so never have to grab an extra mag in haste to have to worry about which way it’s placed in the lid of my pack
