Well here is my work in progress. Bought my first house in March, and this is the formal living room. Flooring, paint, toolboxes, formica, building a wall, and permanent storage is on the docket. As well as deciding on a vented locker to get the rest of the powder, bullets, and primers outa moving boxes. As soon as my brother gets the greenlight to head back to his station he will move out and my desk will go in the corner and the safe will move by the stairs. May take a year to finish out, but I'm excited

Lots of great ideas on here that I’ll probably steal once I finally end up somewhere permanent! I just repurposed a counter height dining table in my basement to use for reloading and gun work. It should get a novice like me by once I get some overhead lighting put up.

Some sweet ideas on this thread. Any body know of good places to find butchers block for counters? Never see it in places like Home Depot.

Old thread..but for those of you that built your bench what height did you go with?

Standard counter top height 36" or a little higher/lower?

Some very nice setups in here. When we built our house I had a room that was designed from the get-go to be my reloading/gun working/bow working room.

It’s a bit utilitarian for what the OP is looking for but it serves my purposes very well.

I'm pretty sure if you sold your Primers you might be able to end world hunger with the cash you'd have :)

For years it was mobile situation as in set up load and tear down, Using the kitchen table as we were limited on space. This worked O.K. when I retired, I built a dedicated building for re-loading, cleaning, repairing of weapons and everything that's connected to that sort of thing. Turned out real nice so nice in fact that my hunting buddy's wife saw it and the first thing she said is this looks better than my kitchen. The other nice thing is the lab, and I can go to the building, and no one is interrupting us as in HONEY CAN YOU DO THIS FOR ME. Plenty of cabinet space and countertop area.
