Had it not been for their awesome return policy, I'd be stuck with around $600 worth of hiking boots that destroyed my feet. Some worked great for a week, others for a couple of months and then something would change and they'd tear up my feet. Most of their stuff is expensive but you can't beat their return policy.
I have a closet full of crap I bought from a local mountaineering store that didnt work out. There return policy was they didnt accept them.
Since an rei opened in my town I havent looked back. People may hate on it for being a granola store but at least they stand behind their products.
Becca already spent our REI dividend on freeze dried meals. Not the most "fun" thing to have but certainly something we know we will use for sure and do actually "need".
$365 here. I travel quite a bit for work and have their credit card so it works out nicely (except my work recently made me get a corporate whore AM EX card). I don't actually buy very many items from them and usually use it for stupid little things like meals, nalgene bottles, water purifiers, fuel, etc. The last significant purchase from them was some Asolo boots, which were a let down in terms of durability. I don't really care that they cater to "granolas", I just think most of their stuff is pretty crappy or way too expensive. Cabelas supposedly caters to hunters, but I think most of their stuff is garbage; I do buy most my shotgun shells there though.
I'm looking at buying a double sleeping bag lik the nemo for my wife and I to take camping this summer. Anyone have any experience with nemo bag sleep systems?
