A-Bolt II from 2001. Became a truck gun. Got a new scope and decided to give her a face lift. All metal ceracoted. Lighter trigger spring. And I did the wood. Got it bore sighted just now and plan to shoot mid day today.

Stock way more work than I had envisioned. I’ll give it 8.5/10. Guess I’ll need to start using soft case again

Nice work! That joker looked like you'd thrown it out the window riding down the road. 😂😂

Nice! A blued/wood A-bolt is something I'd like to add to my lineup someday. I especially love the combination of something that's got lots of use/history, brought back to really nice condition. Well done!

Dang, that looks nice. I have 2 A-Bolts from the late 80's that still are my main hunting rifles. I love them and they are tremendous shooters.

Looks great! What caliber? What stripper did you use to get the finish off? And, would you recommend it?

Mine is a 1994 Abolt II Medallion that I considered freshening up. Just cant find the time to mess with it. It does have it's nicks and scuffs over 30 years, but still shoots about .75 moa or better if I do my part.

Shot like a dream. Super happy. Quite a few clicks at 50 yards. Was 4” high after bore site at house with cardboard box and eyeball.

Two shots at 50.

One shot at 100. Adjusted, and two touching holes inch right and half inch low.

I’ll take it! Awesome.

Used this 2-3 times with each wrapped in Saran Wrap. Tooth brush sand 100% mineral spirits.

The cleaning / strip way easier than finish.

I definitely recommend the product pictured.
