I have a arb roof rack on my 4runner. I am looking for a WATERPROOF cargo case to put on it. Reading the fine print on a lot of the cases I am looking at.....most are not water proof (fully submerged). Yeti is one of the few that is waterproof but I am wanting something more like a ROAM in configuration and styling. My buddy has a Roam and water has entered the interior in heavy prolonged rain. Recommendations?

Fully submerged on the roof? Pelicans are fine. Do be mindful of your payload capacity as you find more ways to weigh down that mule. My Tacoma screamed like it was dying when loaded up for a cross country hunting excursion.

I bought a used INNO. Stays dry and pretty much dust free, no issues other than I wish I had a larger one!

I also bought a used hitch mounted one, it’s a stow away with the swing out base, works really well, again wish I had the larger one but I got it cheap!

It get damp in there in heavy rain and collects a little dust but not bad and I probably just need to replace the seal!

I drilled new mounting holes so now I can open my tail gate without swinging the box out of the way if I need to grab something quick!

Alubox provide the best interior-to-exterior space ratio and are very light and well sealed. OK4WD on the East coast and Equipt on the West are both distributers. I can attest to their water-proof-ness. Bonus is that they are typically less expensive (liter-for-liter) than the roto-molded stuff like the ROAM cases.
