Recommendation for 12 EEE - Huge calves

I'm 280 lbs and have huge calves and EEE width. The calf issue has always been the biggest problem if finding a boot. Anyone else similar? And what did you find as far as brand and model to accommodate?

Not sure what you are looking to spend but Russell makes complete custom hunting boots based upon your foot and calf measurements. My turkey hunting boots from them are over 20 years old. Expensive but they will fit. Or you could go with hiking type boot. You might want to call Lathrop & Sons and see what they might recommend.

13 eee here. I have good luck with danner and crispi. As far as the huge calf thing, nothing says you have to have high top boots. I have plenty of hiking and hunting miles on mid height boots like a Crispi Nevada.

How tall a boot are you looking for? I wouldn't expect calves to get in the way of most hunting boots. I'd think the EEE would be the challenge.

I’m only a size 10-1/2 to 11 in an E or EE width boot, but have hrc cankles and huge calves. I semi-recently had a custom wet suit made and the guy measuring me kept saying I had thicker calves than some of his Samoan customers.

getting my new Danner Thorofares on is a little bit of a challenge with cold fingers, but they lace up well and the tongue creases properly when laced all the way to the top. I’d say Danner pretty much nailed the fit for me and my calves LOL

i’ve had problems in the past with getting the tongue in proper place after lacing or wearing a while with other mountaineering boots. Nothing insurmountable, but annoying as I remember.
