Please recommend a 9mm pistol can. I have reviewed the thread on the 9mm carbines, however they are different operating systems. Considering this as I may practice more if I can reduce the report. Even with double ear pro my tinnitus is terrible after shooting my pistols.

Requirements.
Don’t want to add a RMR yet
Don’t want to change sights yet
Want to cycle with 147’s
Functional suppression is the goal

IF I need to update sights and RMR to obtain max suppression I am willing to do so.

Pistol suppressors do not work like suppressors on rifles. You aren’t going to be practicing anything with a pistol can. Not only that, but your list of wants is functionally not going to happen.

Thank you. Seriously. This helps considerably. I would have spent a silly amount of time and $ chasing my tail.

I very much appreciate your help. As much $ as I have spent following your recommendations I’ve become a better shooter because of it. I learned considerably more than reading random “expert opinions” on the internet. If you ever publish a book it will be on my shelf.
Now I have to figure out my grip on the 1911’s. Have to feed hay tomorrow so I should have a little time to verify the adjustment.

No problem.

The best you can do now, is a “suppressor” that takes out the muzzle blast and massive concussion, and yet is small and light enough to use like a regular pistol. But it isn’t hearing safe by itself.

Not the same as a 9mm but running a rugged mustang on my 22/45 (22lr) and very happy with it. Sights are fine and functions perfect.

Is there a model you would consider? Even lowering the concussion is fine. I don’t expect hearing safe, just enough suppression to lessen the bang.

The only suppressed pistol I’ve shot are 22lr’s. They are great for running hogs off a feeder when you are bow hunting. Much cheaper as I don’t have to watch $40 worth of arrow and broad-head run away and get trashed.

Also following! I have a springfield hellcat pro, love the pistol but it would be so fun for home defense to throw a can on it!

Not currently. JK has the shortest, non wipe suppressor currently.

US made one as an interesting start-

I personally own a SHIV from Stealth Additive Works and it’s hearing-safe on my C2. I can meter it when I get back from SHOT, but with 147gr subs it’s very pleasant to shoot.

2.4 oz and you can use it with some irons.

I’ve only ever tried one, k think it was a fly 9 mounted on a sig p320 with some sort of reflex sight.

I was less than impressed, I didn’t walk away thinking it was something I needed. It seems like more of a gimmick than anything, it was still loud and it made an otherwise compact carry pistol isn’t something you could really just take to the range.

They are fun but wouldn't consider carrying one or duty use, etc. I like my Fly9. Would also consider spectre 9k for a lightweight, smallish, but still decent dB reduction. I use my omega 9k all the time for a farm varmint setup.

I’ve used my hybrid 46 on a Glock 9mm. It’s novel, but I never actually shoot with it for all the reasons above. It’s HUGE.
