Real hunting weight arrow speeds

been looking for the past 2 months at "upgrading" but I just love how my G5 Quest Smoke feels.
424gr arrows at 285fps at 29" with 70lbs

RX8
28.25"
69.6 lbs
Gold Tip Pierce LRT 300 / Exodus 125 swept = 466 gr
282 fps

I'll play around with adding weight after this season, but the bow tuned so easily with that setup I didn't feel the need.

73 years old. Shot a deer at 53 lbs., 27.5" draw at a speed of 230 something about 10 days ago. Quartering away shot, complete pass through. It was a bit of a struggle to get that 53 lbs back so dropped my draw weight to 49 lbs. Same arrow about 5fps slower. Shot another big doe a few days ago, broadside shot, complete pass through and she went 25 yards and down. It was so easy drawing that bow back. To me, comfort trumps speed all day long. Then again, I'm hunting thick Eastern woods where 30 yards is a long shot.

Just chornographed my bow last wknd.

Mathews V3x

Put 75# mods on it. Measures 70# on my scale. Same arrow is 296fps
