Which App is that? The one i've been using and has been accurate with our local shops chrono is the Back Country Calculator which when inputting those same numbers shows a 346 IBO? Either way it's showing well above IBO, I've never really checked very many online calculators, i guess some must use different parameters.Capture.PNG

I find it a good happy medium and matches fairly well when running the numbers long hand.

96 grains over IBO arrow weight = -32 fps
28” draw = -20 fps
Weight on string -4 fps

Total is - 56 fps

Add that to 296 fps chrono readings = 352 IBO

482gr, 278fps. 70# centergy hybrid, 29” draw. If I could find 80# limbs I would rather do that than find a new bow...

your setup is perfectly fine and I wouldn’t change it up unless you find a bow you can shoot more accurately.

Most of you are getting really nice arrow speeds with heavier arrows. When I first got it my Spyder 34 at 72 lbs with a 28" draw length shot my GT XT Hunters (412 grains) at 292 fps. I've since backed off the poundage a bit to slow it down to the 284 fps range. I like the way it shoots at that speed.

Finally got my setup dialed in.

Shooting a 642gr(16%foc) D6 arrow at 260fps out of 84# Prime CT9/ 30.5”.

Flinging logs over here.. ha!

Just got my setup chronoed. PSE Evolve 31 26.5” 60lbs 500gr FMJ at 237fps. I figured I was around 250 so not gonna cry when I’ve got a telephone pole flying through the air with a sharp pointy thing on the end.

My setup is pretty slow this year but it's really quiet, hitting hard and flying good so no complaints. Bowtech realm X 28' draw 72lbs on comfort, black eagle 300 deep impacts with the FOCOS (100 gn) blazer 3 vane coming in at 535 grains and a blazing 250 FPS! Not fast but defintely kill any bull I can hit. I will be shooting QAD exodus heads again this year.

Dang, that makes quite a difference. I new it would make it faster, just didn’t realize it would be that much!

I didn’t think it would make much of a difference honestly. I switched because I like a little more holding weight. Makes me focus more therefore my pin float is greatly reduced

Went with the Easton Axis 6mm for a total arrow weight of 353 before adding 125 grain tip.

Running a 27.5" draw at 66#'s but will max out at 70-71 and hope to around 250FPS for both whitetail and elk.

This thread was helpful!

Man, if those are real honest-to-God numbers, I need to buy an Evolve.
