Started my journey years ago with FL. At the time, it didn't work that well for me in the deer stand and I ended up wearing about 18 layers. I then switched to Sitka and I've had nothing but good luck from them. I really enjoy FL base layers but they have a shelf life for sure.

Since then I broke out into whatever I feel is the best piece for the job. Got a SG Grumman and it's the bomb, as well as quite a few different pairs of Kuiu pants and rain gear. I think it's a balance to find the right piece for your situation.

Kuiu has been the most inconsistent for me. I'm always between a large and XL top. It's a crap shoot depending on which piece actually fits me. Fortunately, we have this forum as a resource to see what runs small. I do also like that a lot of companies are listing more accurately the fit of the piece. Also you can see customer feedback on sizing.

Under Armour is/was like that. One jacket I have is a medium, another is a large, and the third is an XL.
