I am looking to get a new range finder (my old one goes through 8 AAA batteries a day) for hunting Colorado. My primary criteria is elevation adjustment, waterproof, and not ungodly expensive. Ideas?

We use the Leupold 1600. We have 3 of them. Not necessarily the best but they have worked well for us. You can find them on sale combined with Activejunky, you can get a decent deal. The one I bought for my son was under $300, after everything.
I have the same one. Its worked perfect for me. It can range farther than I can shoot.I just picked up a demo sig kilo 850 for $72 on optics planet. Angle compensation max range 1200 yards, good reviews. For a piece of equipment that I use on average about 12 seconds per year, I really don’t want to spend more than I have to..
