Random Favor/Request from a Californian

Super random favor to ask. I am finishing a shed and am just now realizing that smaller sliding windows are now illegal in California as egress codes have changed. I went to order a horizontal slider (shed already framed) and low and behold, ordering them online is prohibited and businesses will not ship to California (for obvious reasons). So lots of window types are now added to the list of things illegal to have in California.

Would anyone on here be up for me shipping you my window (not in California) and then paying you the shipping costs to send it to me in the packaging it arrived in. You would literally have to do nothing but address the package to me and then drop it off at the post office. I will order/ship the window and provide you what it costs to ship to me (plus some for your time). I'm happy to throw in a couple of elk waypoints as well.

Maybe PM me and we can have this discussion off of the main thread? This sucks but I am in a spot where I dont know of any other solution. For reference, this is the window I am looking at https://www.menards.com/main/doors-...ment-windows/w3214/p-1444436037861-c-7696.htm

Please let me know if you have any questions and apologies in advance if this somehow violates some rules on here.

This feels like a sting operation. I can’t go back to the joint for movin’ windows.

In all seriousness, this seems absolutely ludicrous. Not you asking for someone to ship a window. Rather, the fact that you are living in the 4th biggest global economy (CA that is) and can’t buy yourself a means to look outside. What has happened to us.

I’d certainly help you out, but the shipment would be coming from AK and most of the Amazon packages that make it to my door look like they have been pawed over by a grizz. I’d hate for your window to get the same treatment.

Why can’t they ship windows to California?

That seems like a fairly simple window, is there another distributor that can do it?
