Google "kiddie pool grow bag garden". I set up a couple one spring and was surprised how well they worked.

Lots of options but in out household PLASTIC is a no-go for food.

I have a 8’ x 2 raised planter that I grow asparagus, garlic, strawberries, radishes….

I plant everything else in a 100x 130 garden, the smallest I have ever had.

When I was in my 20’s I kept 1/2 an acre.
I love it, just love the work.

It’s therapeutic to me after a stressful day

Wife loves gardening and I enjoy it most of the time. Mix of each philosophy. Tubs are for over flow… Planting potatoes today in MT. Almost done with raised bed prep. Garlic is coming in nicely our 3rd year doing it. Works well to burn up chicken manure/bedding, but we still buy a good bit of compost and I grab a few buckets of word castings from buddy farmers a year.

Raised beds are 4x12 rough cut pine so full dimension lumber from a mill 20 miles a way

Got rid of the grow bags and whiskey barrels. I built these over the past month and a half. All have drip irrigation.
