What’s the best all around rain gear on the market? Price point and durability?

I’ve been looking at the KUIU chugach. But looking for other options and why?

I’m also 6’3 200 pounds and wear a 32x38 pair of jeans.

I've tried a bunch and the Sitka Dewpoint is probably still my favorite. So light and packable. Pit zips too. Get it on sale. I'd never pay full price for their stuff.

My kuiu kutana has been bulletproof. Unbelievably tough and waterproof. I have a set of kuiu yukon that feel more robust in build but is heavier. As with everything with kuiu size up.

I really like the dew point jacket. It nails the features/weight - the past versions are pretty affordable and have the “good” DWR.

The only pants I’ve found that I like are Arcteryx LEAF LT.

Good durable but not light - first light omen or kuiu yukon
Light and water proof but limited durability- kuiu chugach

I’ve been happy with my stone glacier m5 set has a few small holes but I’ve used the gear many days in feild

I have had the Chugach for around 8-9 years, if I remember correctly. It has held up well and is pretty packable. I did go with one of their camo patterns, which in hindsight is a lot less important to me now as I would likely use it a bit more if it were in a solid color.

I hunt in CO mostly, so it has not seen the abuse that some other locals would put it through. I see no need to upgrade and anticipate having it for years to come. I actually just washed it after listening to an EXO podcast and it did a great job in cleaning it and getting the "water-proofness" back up to par.
